A Mimic has infiltrated your group. Work together to uncover the Mimic within six rounds — or risk letting it escape

How to Win – Group

The group unanimously identifies the Mimic by vote, and the Mimic does not guess the correct location

How to Win – Mimic

• The Mimic avoids detection entirely by not receiving the most votes or

• The group unanimously identifies the Mimic, but the Mimic successfully guesses the location

Set Up

Add five of the same location card and one Mimic card to each sleeve

We recommend adding the Mimic card to the back of the small pile so the location within the sleeve is visible

How to Play

1. Choose a Location

Randomly select one location from the box, keeping the location secret

Optional gameplay: Select six potential locations and allow the group a short moment to review them. Randomly select one of the six locations

2. Prepare the Draw

Remove cards from the location pile discreetly, including the Mimic card, based on the number of players

(Example: 4 players = 3 identical location cards + 1 Mimic card)

3. Deal the Cards

Shuffle, then each player draws one card and secretly checks whether they are the Mimic or know the location

Do not reveal your card

4. Place Clues

Lay out nine black clue cards in a 3×3 grid

On each round, every player selects one clue they feel fits the location

• Location players try to prove they belong (without making it too obvious for the Mimic to identify the location)

• The Mimic tries to blend in without giving themselves away

After selection, replace the clue card to maintain a full grid

5. Collect Clues

All chosen clue cards must remain face up in front of each player

Do not remove any clues until the game ends

How the Game Ends

After six rounds, each player reveals who they believe the Mimic is. Will the Mimic blend in, deceive the group, and survive long enough to win?
